Montazah palace and gardens- Located on a low plateau east of Alexandria and overlooking a beautiful beach, the original Salamlek Palace was built in 1892 by Abbas Hilmi Pasha, the last khedive of Egypt, as a hunting lodge for his Austro-Hungarian mistress Countess May-Torok von Szendro. In 1932, King Fuad built a larger palace and called it the Al-Haramlik Palace which became official summer residence of the former royal family. The palace gardens, cover an area of some 150 acres and contain numerous trees, palms, and flowers. They overlook several natural bays and
beaches.


5. Valley of the Kings- This valley was place where tombs were built for the Pharaohs and powerful nobles of the New Kingdom of Ancient Egypt. The cult of death and the lifelong preparation for the afterlife were the focus of Egyptian religion. The Pharaohs were buried in secret tombs here and protected by the best security of the age.


6. Giza Pyramids- These are the most famous pyramids and it looks that they are only three- Cheops, Chefren and Mykerinos, however there are 11 more pyramids in that area and 90 more spread around Egypt. The Cheops Pyramid is the biggest one, but all of them are really worth visiting.


7. Ras Mohammed National Park- It occupies one of the world's most extraordinary settings: a slender, dramatically arid peninsula at the very southernmost tip of the Sinai, rising to a dramatic promontory that looks out over some of the most gloriously rich coral reefs that you will ever see. 9. The New Library of Alexandria- The original library at Alexandria in Egypt was one of the wonders of the ancient world. Founded by Alexander the Great in the fourth century BC, built and enlarged by Ptolemy I, Alexander's successor, the city's library comprised perhaps as many as 700,000 manuscripts - the whole corpus of knowledge accumulated by ancient philosophers, scientists and poets.


10. Karnak Temple- It is divided into three areas separated by rough brick walls. The largest area measures approximately 30 hectares and is the best restored area. This temple, dedicated to the god Amon, and is believed to be the oldest of the four temples at Thebes. To its left is the sanctuary of Manatee, the god of war and across from it is the sanctuary to the goddess Mut, Amon's wife, who, interestingly enough, was symbolically represented as a vulture.
